point & shoot

this weekend was chock - o - block. it started with a family fun night at school with a giant slide & jumping castle to keep all the little ones entertained while the Mums & Dads mingled. I mingled so much I didn't take one photo    oops!

then on Saturday I spent 3hrs helping & holding up my little first time skater girl {it was her school friends birthday party at a local skate centre} until she had the hang of it all & was wanting to skate all by herself!

we then enjoyed a bbq with friends very late into the night, & Sunday involved sleeping in, Tupperware & an afternoon tea party.

today my skater girl & I are hanging out at home drinking lots of fresh juice to try & rid ourselves of Summertime colds.

p.s {i have taken off the annoying & hard to read word verification so comment leaving should be much. much easier now!}

  1. I love that skating is still a thing! I was sure it would have been overthrown by the rise of rollerblades back when I was a teen, but nope, it still lives on!

    L-o-v-e the last photo :)

    1. the two word thing is so bad! i can hardly read most of them. see if the rink near you has lessons ours does every sat so i am thinking it may become our home away from home in Winter!

  4. Yippee for easier commenting. I've just tried commenting on a couple of blogs and almost had to give up, because I couldn't read the words. Dammit! Your picture reminds me of one of my favourite films. Xanadu. Remember that one?

  8. Great shots, Sarah!
    I loved skating as a teenager and bought myself some white boot skates which I wore until the wheels died not so long ago. I always wanted to learn dance skating but I did so many other sports my parents would not pay for another (fair enough) so I taught myself a lot and a friend who had lessons taught me other skills like turns, etc.
    I taught all my kids to skate but they were all given blades by their grandparents so when we had outings to the skating rink, I skated and they bladed. Fond memories! :)
