snap it {inside}

we have a beautiful lime tree in our garden growing in a pot & it produces hundreds of limes every year. since we can't get the lemon tree to grow as fast & as productive {three years & still waiting for it to bare fruit!} we often sub with limes in our cooking. i think they are so perfect when sliced open.

please add your {inside} snap it pic to the list below. & if you have any uses for limes i am all ears!

next weeks topic is neighbourhood

  1. It's great to have fruit growing in your garden, so nice to cook with food that you've grown!
    Have a great day.

  2. I have an a heap of lemons and limes. They tend to go to waste a bit. I'm not so adventurous in my cooking of late. Although I did make some yummy lemon butter cookies last week and do love a lemon lime delicious (pudding) and have just used lime. Delicious!

  3. Those limes look fantastic, large & so juicy. Shudder - a girl in my daughter's year 8 cooking class didn't know lemon juice came from lemons, holy crap, WTF?? She said her family use the squeeze bottle stuff, puke!! They probably do the same with limes. OH the humanity!! We grew up with a lemon tree, magnificent lemons in our house all year round. Love Posie

  6. Beautiful photo. I love the look of limes, but buy them and then they sit in our fruit bowl. I use and prefer lemons. I hope our two trees eventually produce some lemons.

  11. Love this, so pure and simple. The beautiful fresh green of the limes and the crisp white bowl. Perfection! I've been meaning to try a recipe for biscuits with lime in them, you've inspired me to hop to it xo
