a road trip

on a saturday afternoon
 the four of us
 driving through new places
 & familiar streets
 in the rain
 no traffic
 to be seen
rocking to tunes on the radio

    I love going for a drive to the country to explore, somewhere peaceful, where there is a place to go for a nice picnic and bushwalk. Those days are relaxing....

    A road trip in the rain can be great fun. I love the Great Ocean Road which is on our doorstep. Or, if I want something a bit more rustic I head to my parents and go bush bashing with my dad in his 4 wheel drive through Mt Dissapointment. Love the shots of the rain on the windscreen.

    Sounds perfect! We too love going for a drive to a country town and having a little explore. One of my favourite trips like this was one we did in the pouring rain where we stopped at this quaint little cafe that was sort of in a tin shed - was so lovely.

    We love road trips. Especially the thrill of driving to a new town and finding accommodation. We have great fun on the road, laughter, stories etc. Charmaine
